Why We Built This Site
Florida makes many records accessible, yet Escambia's custody lines are easy to mix up. ECSO keeps its investigative and arrest reports and serves warrants. County Corrections, not the sheriff, creates the jail roster and booking file. The Clerk maintains filed charges and dispositions, FDLE operates the statewide repository and registry, and FDC holds state custody and felony-supervision records. This site organizes the official contacts, portals, fees, and request steps around those real divisions.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are searched and read in Escambia County
- Official check walkthroughs: how name-based and fingerprint background checks work through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) repository
- Agency contacts: where to reach the sheriff's records unit, the criminal courts, and the statewide systems that hold Escambia County records
- Record cleanup help: how court-ordered expunction and sealing differ under Florida law and where petitions are filed
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Florida court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file court-ordered expunction or sealing petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing agency - the sheriff, the court, or the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) - can provide an official copy of a criminal record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
